Online clothing store with size guides and parcel lockers
Clothes are bought by eye and by size. An online fashion store has to show each item from every angle, help shoppers pick the right size first time and make returns easy to understand — that is what gets people to place an order.

What shoppers check before ordering clothes
- How the item looks when worn and up close — fabric, seams, colour
- Whether their size is in stock and how it compares to the sizes they know
- Fabric composition and care instructions
- Delivery cost and delivery time
- How to return something that does not fit
- Whether the shop is a real business: contact details, company information and terms of sale
A catalogue with sizes and variants
The catalogue is split into categories and collections, each with its own URL for search. A product page has several photos, a description, fabric composition and variants: size and colour are chosen on the product page rather than set up as separate products, and if a variant costs more, the price updates automatically.
Stock is tracked per product. If the store needs exact stock levels for every size and colour, or a sync with inventory software, this is agreed at the start and built as additional development.
New arrivals and sale prices are added in the admin panel by the store itself; a discounted item keeps its original price shown struck through.
Size guides and fit notes
The most common reason clothes are returned is the wrong size. A size chart in centimetres, the model’s height and size in the photos and a short fit note (“runs small”, “relaxed fit”) reduce returns more than any discount.
A size guide can be attached to a category or to a single product and stays readable on a phone, without sideways scrolling.
For in-house designs and small brands it helps to list the measurements of the actual garment: length, chest width, sleeve length. Shoppers compare them with something they already own and order the right size.
Payments and parcel locker delivery
Payments run through Montonio: bank links for Estonian banks and cards. For delivery, shoppers choose an Omniva, DPD or SmartPosti parcel locker right at checkout, via Montonio Shipping. Orders arrive in the admin panel, in Telegram and by email.
Returns and the 14-day right of withdrawal
Consumers in Estonia may withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. The seller refunds the money no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal notice, and the shopper may pay the return shipping if this was stated in advance.
The exceptions are narrow: items made to the customer’s measurements or personalised, and goods sealed for hygiene reasons, such as underwear, once the seal is broken. In addition, from 1 September 2026 online stores in Estonia must let customers withdraw from the contract directly on the website. In a store built by the studio this function is added as part of the project, and the returns policy is drafted from the platform’s legal page templates.
Product photography
Photos are the most important content in an online clothing store: shoppers cannot touch the item or try it on, so the photos have to answer the questions a fitting-room mirror would.
- One background and one lighting setup across the catalogue
- The item worn by a model, front and back, plus a fabric close-up
- Colours in the photos match the real item — fewer returns
- Images are resized for phones automatically, so pages load fast
How the store launch works
- Briefing on the range, payment and delivery options and returns rules
- Catalogue structure and product page layout
- Design, build, Montonio and parcel locker setup
- Adding products, by the store or by the studio
- Test orders, launch and admin panel training
Pricing
The cost depends on the scope
Starting prices are shown on each service page and on the Pricing page. The exact cost depends on the scope — languages, sections, payments, booking — and is worked out for the task and fixed in the quote and the contract before work starts.
Describe the task
What the site has to do, who it is for and what takes up your time today. A reply comes within 24 hours — with clarifying questions or a preliminary estimate of cost and timing.
Quote and deadline in the contract
What is included, for how much and by when is fixed before the work starts. The price does not grow along the way: new large sections are priced separately and in advance, not on the invoice.
Monthly maintenance
Hosting, certificate, platform and security updates, backups and small edits — a separate monthly line in the quote. Domain renewal is paid to the registrar unless the contract says otherwise. If you decide to leave, you take the content as an archive and the domain, which is registered in your name.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can stock be tracked for each size?
As standard, stock is tracked per product. Tracking each size and colour separately is additional development — worth discussing at the start if the range is large.
Which payment methods will the store accept?
Through Montonio, bank links for Estonian banks and cards. Maksekeskus or Stripe can be integrated as custom development.
Who pays for return shipping?
The store decides: if the terms state in advance that the customer pays, that applies. If the item is faulty, the seller always covers the return.
Is a withdrawal button mandatory?
From 1 September 2026, yes, for Estonian online stores where the customer has a right of withdrawal. It is built as part of the store project.
Can the store run in three languages?
Yes. The catalogue, product pages and checkout are available in English, Estonian and Russian, each version with its own URLs for search.
Can products be moved over from an old website?
Catalogue migration is scoped separately: the effort depends on how the products are stored now. A small catalogue is often quicker to re-enter in the admin panel.
