Montonio integration for payments and shipping

What the shopper sees

At checkout the shopper chooses how to pay. For bank links the site shows bank buttons with logos — the list comes from Montonio and depends on the store’s contract. After picking a bank the shopper lands in their online bank, confirms the payment and returns to the order page.

Card payments go through Montonio’s payment page. If parcel lockers are switched on, the shopper picks a carrier and a specific locker in the same step: search by street or shop, and the chosen locker collapses into a card with a “Change” button. Everything is built for phones — large list rows and a search field that does not zoom the page.

What the owner gets in the admin panel

• A payments section: keys, payment methods (bank link, card, payment on delivery), sandbox and live mode.
• A connection check: the site asks Montonio which banks, cards and carriers are enabled under the contract.
• On each order: payment state, bank, amount received and time of payment, plus a button to re-check the payment.
• A payment link for an order entered by hand, for example one agreed by email.
• The chosen parcel locker in the order and in the confirmation email to the shopper.
• Delivery price and free-delivery threshold in the order settings.

What the business needs to provide

• A Montonio contract in your company’s name. Fees are paid to Montonio under its pricing, and the money goes to your account.
• API keys — Access Key and Secret Key from the Montonio Partner System. Sandbox and live mode have different keys.
• Carriers connected in the Montonio dashboard if parcel lockers are needed: under Montonio’s contract or your own carrier contracts.
• Store legal pages: terms of sale, returns and privacy. Templates are in the engine; the text is adjusted to your business.

How the connection works

• You sign the contract with Montonio and share access to the dashboard.
• Sandbox keys go into the admin panel, and the connection check shows the available banks and carriers.
• A test order runs the full path: bank selection, return to the site, status change, locker selection.
• The keys are switched to live ones, and the first real payment is checked before sales open.

What stays in the Montonio dashboard

Refunds, payout reports and label printing are handled in the Montonio dashboard. The site keeps the order, the chosen locker and the payment status; if a payment has been refunded, the order card shows it after a check.

Montonio also offers hire purchase and pay-later options, but they are not built into the engine: connecting them is estimated as separate development.

If online payment is switched off for a while, checkout falls back to payment on delivery and the site keeps taking orders.
