Dental clinic website: treatments, dentists and online booking

Patients choose a dentist on trust: who will treat them, how to book, what happens to their data. A dental clinic website answers these questions calmly and precisely, without the advertising promises that Estonian law restricts anyway.

What a dental clinic website includes

  • Treatment pages: what the procedure is, how it works, how to prepare.
  • Dentist pages: education, specialisation and the languages each dentist works in.
  • Online appointments with a specific dentist in a free slot.
  • A price list that the clinic maintains in the admin panel.
  • Clinic details, including the activity licence number.
  • A privacy policy and a cookie banner with a genuine choice.
  • Estonian, Russian and English versions.

Advertising health services in Estonia: what to keep in mind

Section 22 of the Advertising Act (Reklaamiseadus) generally prohibits advertising health services, and the Health Board (Terviseamet) supervises compliance. A healthcare provider may publish information about its services when it states its activity licence number. Since 1 September 2025 the ban also covers foreign providers targeting the Estonian market.

That is why dental website copy is written to inform: no promises of treatment results, no superlatives, no slogans. The clinic agrees the final wording with its own lawyer — the studio helps keep the tone right but does not give legal opinions.

Online appointments with a dentist

The patient picks a service — for example a consultation or a hygiene visit — then a dentist and a free slot. Appointment length and each dentist's schedule are set in the admin panel, and free slots are calculated automatically.

After booking, the patient receives an email with a link to reschedule or cancel, and a reminder the day before. The clinic sees new appointments in Telegram and by email. Prepayment can be switched on, though clinics rarely need it.

Patient data: collect only what is needed

Health data is a special category of personal data under the GDPR, so the booking form asks for the minimum: name, contact details, service and time. The site does not collect complaints or medical history — that conversation belongs in the surgery.

Visitor analytics is built into the platform and runs without third-party trackers, and the cookie banner gives an honest accept or reject choice. A data exchange with the clinic's patient management software is possible only as custom development and is assessed in advance.

Dentists and trust

For a patient, the most important thing is the person they will see. A dentist page with a photo, education, areas of work and working languages helps people choose without calling. Working languages matter in Estonia, where patients often look for a dentist who speaks Russian or English.

The clinic edits dentist pages and schedules itself: when a new dentist joins or someone goes on holiday, the change is visible on the site and in booking right away.

How the clinic website project runs

  • A conversation about the clinic: dentists, treatments, patients, working languages.
  • Site structure and a proposal with the cost fixed in the contract.
  • Design, informative copy and booking set up around the dentists' schedules.
  • Review of the copy by the clinic and its lawyer, translations into the required languages.
  • Launch, admin panel training and support under contract.

What the clinic provides

  • A list of treatments with descriptions and appointment lengths.
  • Dentist details and schedules.
  • The activity licence number and the clinic's company details.
  • A price list, if the clinic publishes one.
  • Photos of the clinic and the dentists.

Pricing

The cost depends on the scope

Starting prices are shown on each service page and on the Pricing page. The exact cost depends on the scope — languages, sections, payments, booking — and is worked out for the task and fixed in the quote and the contract before work starts.

Describe the task

What the site has to do, who it is for and what takes up your time today. A reply comes within 24 hours — with clarifying questions or a preliminary estimate of cost and timing.

Quote and deadline in the contract

What is included, for how much and by when is fixed before the work starts. The price does not grow along the way: new large sections are priced separately and in advance, not on the invoice.

Monthly maintenance

Hosting, certificate, platform and security updates, backups and small edits — a separate monthly line in the quote. Domain renewal is paid to the registrar unless the contract says otherwise. If you decide to leave, you take the content as an archive and the domain, which is registered in your name.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a dental clinic publish prices on its website?

Yes, many clinics do. Prices are shown as final amounts, and the clinic updates the price list in the admin panel.

Can before-and-after treatment photos be published?

The platform supports such a page, but for a clinic the decision depends on health advertising restrictions and patient consent. It is best made together with the clinic's lawyer.

Does booking connect to the clinic's patient software?

Not out of the box: appointments are managed in the website admin panel. A data exchange with the clinic's software is custom development, provided the software offers an interface for it.

Where can the clinic see patient appointments?

In the website admin panel, with notifications of new appointments sent to the clinic's Telegram and email.

Does the studio write the treatment pages?

Yes, the studio prepares the copy from the clinic's materials in an informative tone. Medical accuracy and legal compliance are checked by the clinic's dentists and lawyer.

What should a patient in acute pain do?

Online booking is meant for planned visits. For acute pain, the site shows the clinic's phone number and instructions for requesting an urgent appointment, worded by the clinic.
